After tabling the issue of adding various classes to the Alcoholic Beverages ordinance during the last Valley City City Commission meeting due to an identified need for further discussion, during this week's regularly scheduled city commission meeting held on June 5 the group of city leaders decided to pass the first reading of Ordinance No. 1032 which makes several changes to section four of the Alcoholic Beverages ordinance.

The biggest of these changes is the addition of a Class G license which would allow any Class B license holder, the opportunity to apply for an additional license authorizing the license holder to operate a Microbrew Pub. This would allow them to sell beer that has been produced on the premises of the "on-sale" and "off-sale" and includes the ability to sell growlers.
