Valley City-Barnes County Public Library Board meets at 5:15 p.m.

Wednesday, April 13
Valley City-Barnes County Public Library Circle Time with Amanda Adams will be held at 10 a.m., and Story Hour with Sara Engler will be held at 10:30 a.m.

North Dakota Compassionate Care 2016 Signing Event will be held at the Valley City State University Student Center lobby from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is focusing on gathering signatures to get the initiated measure on the November ballot to allow the medical use of cannabis for chronic pain and debilitating medical conditions, such as cancer, neuropathy, ALS, glaucoma and epilepsy.

The Valley City Public School Board meets at 5 p.m. at the Central Administration Building Board Meeting Room.

Thursday, April 14
Barnes County Senior Center pinochle will be held at 1:15 p.m.

Valley City-Barnes County Public Library Teen Craft Night, making embroidery headphones, will be held from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Friday, April 15
Barnes County Senior Center bingo will be held at 1 p.m.

A Father/Daughter Dance to benefit the Barnes County Relay for Life will be held at the Hi-Liner Activity Center from 7-9 p.m. The dance is open to kindergarteners through sixth-graders and their dads. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

The 22nd annual Valley City State University Scholarship Auction will be held at the Valley City Eagles Club. Social and silent auction is at 5 p.m., dinner is at 6 p.m. and the live auction begins at 7 p.m. For more info and tickets, call (701) 845-7203.

Saturday, April 16
The Valley City-Barnes County Public Library PJ Story Hour will be held at 10:30 a.m., and Chess Club meets at 11 a.m.

A free public planetarium show, Finding Polaris II, will be shown at 1 p.m. in Valley City State University's Rhoades Science Center, room 309.

The Whoever Can Come Band will host a free and open to all jam session at the Barnes County Museum from 1-4 p.m.
