PHOTOS: Eclipse Watch Party

Dozens of people of all ages looked toward the sky on Monday, Aug. 21 to see the partial solar eclipse during a viewing party at the Valley City-Barnes County Public Library.

The Great American Eclipse, as it’s called, swept its way across the entire continental U.S. on Monday morning and into the afternoon. While North Dakota was not in the path of totality, a partial solar eclipse could be seen from about 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a peak at about 1 p.m.
